We're not able to provide guidance around approaching brands for sponsorship or funding, or to take general meetings about film projects, brands, distribution, or the industry.
For everyone else - we receive numerous inquiries asking about collaborations on films/series; or wanting help in approaching brands for sponsorship or funding, or to take a general meeting about film projects, brands, distribution, or the industry. We're not able to take meetings about these other subjects. Brian Newman writes about these topics often in his free newsletter, and the archives have many articles on these subjects.
We have yet to find a brand funding/sponsorship consultant who's not prohibitively expensive and does this work well. So we don’t recommend hiring such consultants. If you want general film distribution advice, we highly recommend the free Distribution Playbook from Kinema and Seed & Spark, or the resources made available for free from Distribution Advocates. For paid consulting, we recommend Jon Reiss of 8Above or Peter Broderick of Paradigm Consulting, who consults with documentary filmmakers.
