Looking for a different kind of help?

We do not provide film financing, secure brand sponsorships or offer general advisory services to independent filmmakers. We’re unable to review unsolicited projects, consider collaborations without committed funding, advise filmmakers on approaching brands, or take general meetings about film projects, distribution or the entertainment industry.

Given the volume of inquiries we receive, we cannot respond individually to requests outside this scope. We hope the following resources can provide a helpful starting point.

For insight into branded entertainment, film distribution and the industry, Brian Newman writes frequently about these subjects in his free newsletter, which includes an extensive archive of practical guidance.

We are not able to recommend consultants who approach brands for film funding or sponsorship. We have yet to find one who does this work effectively at a reasonable cost.

For general film distribution guidance, we recommend the free Distribution Playbook from Kinema and Seed&Spark, along with the free resources from Distribution Advocates.

For paid distribution consulting, we recommend Jon Reiss of 8 Above or Peter Broderick of Paradigm Consulting, who specializes in documentary films.
